As a healthy-food lover, I’m sharing here with you an amazing beet juice recipe that I swear by.
Preparing this recipe is super fast and you’ll be enjoying a delicious, good-for-you juice, in no time!
After trying this recipe, you’ll want to make it regularly and your heart will thank you.
Try to use organic vegetables and fruits whenever possible. Apples and kale are part of the “dirty dozen” list. You can find the full list at ewg.org. Most of the ingredients in this recipe aren’t peeled, wash them thoroughly before chopping them. If your beet has leaves, you can juice them as well to get the most nutrition out of it!
When chopping the ingredients keep in mind the ideal size for your juicer. For example my juicer, the Omega NC900HDC is a slow masticating, cold-press, type, and it requires the chunks to be somewhat on the smaller side.
The only ingredients I peel before juicing, are the lemon and ginger. Ginger is potent so about a thumb size is about what I used, but you can start with a smaller piece, taste the juice to see if you want to add more to it.
Beet: lowers blood pressure, enhances athletic performance, and contains fiber.
Ginger: aids digestion, reduces nausea, and helps fight the flu and common cold.
Kale: high in antioxidants, high in vitamin C, supports good eyesight and heart health.
Note of caution: just like any juice, try not to drink too much of it at once, you’re stomach may get upset. A serving/day should be ok.
There you have it, I hope you give this amazing juice a try, and if you did, let me know your thoughts!
Happy cooking 😉
